Dietitian
Services provided
Our Dietitian provides a full range of specialist nutrition services to all clinical areas of the hospital. Services are evidenced-based and patient–centred and occur within the multidisciplinary team.
The service is available to all in-patients at Beleura Private Hospital. A referral from medical, nursing or allied health staff is required.
Beleura Private Hospital does not currently have an out-patient Dietitian service. A listing of Private Practise Dietitians can be found at www.daa.asn.au
What do Dietitians do?
Clinical Dietitians
- identify nutrition needs of a patient,
- plan an appropriate diet,
- monitor the effectiveness of the dietary changes and
- educate patient and their families.
Qualifications
Dietitians hold full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. They acquire and maintain Accredited Practising Dietitian status by participating in a continuing professional development program. Our Dietitian is qualified as an Accredited Practising Dietitian.
