The Eliza Unit is an integrated inpatient facility, located on the entire first floor of the hospital, and is designed to accommodate adult patients requiring acute inpatient psychiatric care, in a tranquil and comforting atmosphere.

The unit is supported by a highly professional and passionate mental health team, providing inpatient therapy programs which are both structured yet flexible. Care is delivered in a variety of settings, combining individual counselling and psychotherapy, group therapy, skill development, activities and medical treatments to ensure the best outcome for each patient.

The mental healthcare team at Beleura Private consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, allied health professionals and general medical staff.

Patients may be admitted under the care of specialist psychiatrists accredited at Beleura Private Hospital. Appointments can be made by contacting the consulting rooms of our accredited psychiatrists.

Outpatient treatment options are suited to adult patients who are no longer in acute crisis but who need further support to recover from their illness.

These programs can assist patients during the transition period following discharge from a hospital admission, during times of crisis or episodes of heightened stress and anxiety, or as ongoing support to maintain mental health and wellbeing to avoid a future hospital admission.

The programs are primarily in the form of skills training sessions, evidence based group sessions and individual review sessions and are facilitated by qualified mental health professionals who collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Ongoing management can continue with the treating medical practitioner, like a GP, making this the ideal shared care arrangement.

If potential clients are not already under the supervision of an accredited psychiatrist, they will need to obtain a referral to a program from a general practitioner. All patients meet with the program coordinator to ensure that their therapy is tailored to meet their specific needs.
