Richard is a dedicated shoulder and elbow surgeon based at the highly regarded Mornington Orthopaedics. He strives to provide excellent surgical management in a relaxed environment, where communication with the patient and the referring doctor are just as important as the surgical intervention. Richard is passionate about providing cutting edge surgical interventions utilising the latest technology and clinically proven surgical techniques to patients of the Mornington Peninsula.
Richard consults and operates at Beleura Private Hospital in Mornington and Peninsula Private Hospital in Frankston. He is also the only Orthopaedic Surgeon with a shoulder and elbow Fellowship specialising in upper limb surgery at Frankston Public Hospital.
Richard is actively involved in research, invited to speak at state meetings and regularly presents at national and international conferences. In November 2017, he authored the lead article in the most prestigious shoulder and elbow journal in the world, The Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
Richard is determined to provide all patients of the Mornington Peninsula with state of the art surgical care close to home.
Richard grew up locally on the Mornington Peninsula and worked during his training at Frankston Hospital. He completed his upper limb Fellowship in 2013 in Europe.
Richard welcomes referrals for all shoulder and elbow conditions. His work encompasses all forms of shoulder and elbow surgery and he has a particular interest in shoulder arthroscopy.
