Dr Edward Roufail is an experienced Ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in vitreoretinal surgery.

Beleura Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Edward Roufail. He is a vitreo-retinal, cataract and refractive surgeon and has expertise in the surgical and medical management of diseases of the vitreous, retina and macula such as retinal detachments, vitreous haemorrhage, diabetic eye disease and age related macular degeneration. In addition, he is an expert in managing all aspects of cataract surgery and laser vision correction.

He is a member of the vitreo-retinal team at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and has 24/7 access to surgical facilities required for the management of acute retinal conditions such as retinal detachment. 

Edward is an experienced in cataract and refractive surgery. He is able to offer cataract surgery using the latest intraocular lens technology including MFIOL, EDOF and Toric lenses. He can also offer laser vision correction such as LASIK, SMILE, PRK and ICL at his Eye Laser Specialists practice in Armadale. He is one of two surgeons able to offer SMILE laser vision correction in Victoria.

He is currently a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists, and a Member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retina specialists (ANZSRS), the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) and The European Society of Retina specialists.
